What we are aiming at

The AI Visibility Scanner site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the standard the Americans with Disabilities Act is read against in practice, and it is the one we hold every site we build to, our own included.

Where we actually stand

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the standard is met and we are telling you plainly that we have not proved all of it.

On 13 September 2026 we ran an automated axe-core audit across all 11 pages of this site at four viewport widths — 320px, 390px, 768px and 1400px — with every rule axe-core has switched on, including the sixteen it leaves disabled by default. Among those is target size, WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.5.8, which a default run skips silently. The result across all 44 page-and-width combinations was zero violations at Level A and Level AA.

Two things do still flag, and we would rather name them than run a narrower test and call it a clean sweep. color-contrast-enhanced measures our muted grey text against the 7:1 ratio required at Level AAA; this site targets Level AA, where the requirement is 4.5:1 and that text passes. And on the glossary, at the widest layout only, a heuristic flags the bold opening line of each definition as though it were a heading. Each definition already carries a real heading above that line, so the rule is reading a lede as a title. We have left the markup honest rather than reshaping it to satisfy a heuristic.

The 12 September run this paragraph used to describe tested one viewport and could not have exercised 2.5.8 at all. Replacing it turned up four real defects, now fixed: a link whose accessible name left out part of its own visible text (SC 2.5.3), statistics marked up as paragraphs but styled as headings, a footer heading level that skipped a rank, and an ARIA role that is not permitted on the element carrying it.

We are not going to let that number say more than it can. Automated testing catches somewhere around a third to a half of real accessibility barriers. It does not judge whether a keyboard journey makes sense, whether a screen reader announces things in a useful order, whether copy is readable under cognitive load, or whether an image carries meaning its alt text leaves out. No full manual audit and no audit with assistive technology in the hands of a disabled user has been carried out on this site. Until one has, "partially conformant" is the honest description and we will not upgrade it.

What is built in

• A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page.
• One h1 per page and headings that descend in order, so a screen reader's outline matches the page.
• Visible focus on every interactive element, and no keyboard trap anywhere.
• Text contrast at 4.5:1 or better, and interactive targets at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels.
• Meaning never carried by colour alone.
• Images carry alt text, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology rather than described.
• The page works at 400 percent zoom and down to a 320 pixel viewport without horizontal scrolling.
• Animation respects prefers-reduced-motion.

Forms on this site

Every form control has a visible label that is programmatically associated with its input. Errors are announced in text, not by colour alone, and an invalid field is linked to the sentence explaining why it is invalid so a screen reader reads the reason and not only the fact. A form cannot be submitted without JavaScript, because the spam check requires it; where that blocks you, call or text 954-952-3611 or email alexalligan@suncoastdigital.us and a person will take the same request by hand.

Known limitations on this site

• The sample report reproduces a scan as a set of figures and bars. Every figure is also written out in text next to the bar, so nothing in it is available only as a graphic.
• The sample business, Coral Ridge Med Spa, is fictional and every number shown for it is illustrative. That is stated on the page as text, not only in the design.
• Third party content we do not control: the typefaces load from Google Fonts. If that request fails the page falls back to a system font stack and stays fully readable.

What this site is built with

Static HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript. It relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI ARIA. It is built to work in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox with a screen reader, and the content is readable with JavaScript switched off.
