# AI Visibility Scanner — Sun Coast Digital Media

> A tool built by Sun Coast Digital Media, an AI-native digital marketing agency in
> Broward County, Florida, that measures how often a local business is named in
> AI-generated answers. Each scan runs 20 buyer-intent prompts against 5 AI engines
> for 100 live searches, then counts every business named in every answer.

## What the scanner measures

- **Visibility** — the share of AI answers that name the business, out of the answers
  successfully received. Failed requests are removed from the denominator.
- **Share of voice** — the business's mentions as a fraction of every business mention
  across the whole scan.
- **Cited as a source** — the share of answers that link the business's own domain.

## Engines covered

- Perplexity (search-native API)
- Google AI Overviews (captured as served, via SerpApi)
- ChatGPT (Responses API with web_search enabled)
- Claude (Messages API with server-side web_search)
- Gemini (generateContent with google_search grounding)

## The twenty prompts

Six intent families: problem-first, "best X in Y", ranked comparisons, price and
rating filters, near-me, and asked-about-you-by-name.
